If an ex Diving Officer of your dive club calls you and says he has a compressor for sale, be careful what you say. It can end up with hours of side splitting fun and of course a lot of hard work... George Wilcox was the Diving Officer of Ribble Valley Sub Aqua Club (RVSAC) years before I joined. He called and said 'Fancy this compressor, its only £150'. In the words of Jarvis Cocker I said 'I'll see what I can do'.

Well then, the membership of the British Sub Aqua Club have elected me to represent them as a member of the council, but what the hell do you want me to do? I am very flattered that quite a few of you voted for me. Clearly, I will do my level best will deliver the manifesto I published in the election publication but I really want to know what you really want out of the club.

Being relatively close to us, Anglesey seems like a great place to dive. However, it's rather like childbirth. When it's happening the pain is excruciating, but the passage of time and hormones seem to diminish the horrific experience so much so you do it again!

I have been privileged to know the O-Ring King for a few years now. He is one of life's great characters as well as a generally funny and knowledgeable bloke. Besides being the Equipment Officer in our dive club he helps my mum out with broken washing machines, light-bulbs and other domestic stuff that I can't do or haven't the time to sort out...

On September 19th 1998 having been beaten by Tropical Storm Vicki, The Princess Of The Orient, a 200m long 13,734 ton ferry, sank 40 miles south of Manila on its way to Cebu. She now rests in 125m of water and is the final resting place of some 150 souls that were lost that night. In the early 2000s world deep diving record holder John Bennett and Ron Loos, of Atlantis Tech in the Philippines, were the first two explorers to dive her.

The concept for Triton Oceanic began during a week of technical diving in Chu’uk Lagoon in 2007 and was initially formed for the purpose of promoting the team’s Project Kongō expedition, to find and document the wreck of the IJN Kongō, a 36,000-ton battleship sunk off Formosa.
