This ambitious expedition to the Falklands was mounted by the redoubtable Darwen Sub Aqua Club, led by its Chairman, Ian Dearden. The expedition recently won the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) prestigious ‘Expedition of the Year’ award, 2008. As team member on the first two weeks, to follow is my take on the award winning adventure.

The Falkland Islands lie in the feared South Atlantic seas, between 51/53 degrees south and 57/62 degrees west.
This is the story of a group of divers shipping all their equipment by sea, including two RIBS, in a container the 7,000 Nm to enable them to dive these spectacular Islands.
