Simon you have missed a vital piece of your kit off this enormous list.
Tecnical underpants!!!!! How could you dive in the UK without them?

My god, you are right. Chafing is one of the primary enemies of the diver…

Will address immediately…

Chaffing of the ‘gooch’ region can be greatly alleviated by a liberal dose of talcum powder, any brand, just as long as you apply a large handfull of the stuff and slap it around, this of course could be administered by a close friend or associate; the compulsory wearing of neoprene by both or either party at this stage is not necessary, but the experience may be greatly improved by at least one participant in some sort of party wear. Oh yes, a chaffed gooch is not for the faint of heart, look after that gooch.
I have it on the best of information that the famous Kim Wilson always uses johnsons baby powder to do his very famous gooch, and he has not chaffed since 1989; a good ‘gooch’ roadie is indispensable!
Rock on.

Have your say
