ThirtySix by Simon Campbell

Released on by Supertone Records

Following a long professional musical career this is Simon’s first solo album. Each song is written about real people, with real lives. We hope you enjoy it.

This album contains a lot of influences and consists of musical jottings over twenty years. It's not blues, it's not rock or folk but an eclectic mix. On the back of the release, Simon was nominated for a British Blues Award.

We have worked hard to produce the finest sounding record we could using the best equipment, recording techniques and mastering.

  • As Beautiful As You”, showing his equal prowess on acoustic guitar . . . it’s reminiscent of Gordon Giltrap at his peak.

Grahame Rhodes, Blues in the NorthWest

  • I’d give it 9/10 and will make a point of getting to see Simon play live sooner rather than later.

    Simon Gledhill, Nottingham Blues Society

  • To finish then I would say that this is a fantastic album that really showcases Simon Campbell’s individuality and talent and which has a lot to say for itself. I think it will appeal to fans of many shades of rock and blues, especially those interested in a more experimental approach that is not content to simply rehash the past.

    Joe Druce, Nottingham Blues Society

  • In a world where a good chunk of music in the charts relies on gimmicks, fashion and manufactured stars, it is nice to switch on an album where musicianship is key and where the guitar is king. Long may it rule.

John Gregory, Isle of Man Dot Com
